As most are aware - the shut down is looming.   If you are having a difficult time moving your blog I would recommend the Google+ Exporter program.  It really is the only game in town for easily moving your blog to a new platform.  It will allow you to download proper blog export files that will easily upload into Blogger or blog platforms that use WordPress.  Using this program requires you to override some security notifications, which made me seriously uncomfortable, (with no offense, intended to the smart, clever, kind and generous person Alois Bělašk, that developed and made this translation tool available).   Alois I owe you one!  Thank you!!!  If you are worried about security - run the program on an old computer that is out of service - and change your password right away.   Heaven forbid Google from making this a simple process or having tech support that picks up the phone.  If you downloaded your Google+ data but are having trouble uploading the data to a new platform this software developer should be able to help.
