This PBS series How We Got To Now will be of interest to Real Estate professionals. The series looks at how the invention of sewers, clocks, lighting, glass, sound, air conditioning and other historical technology occurred. The programs focus at how these inventions influenced the development of urban areas and society in general. The Clean episode details how in the City of Chicago had to elevate the massive buildings in the urban core above street level to create a grade change to allow new sewer laterals to work. The Cold episode details how air conditioning directly impacted the build out of the Southwest and changed the U.S. electoral map. #RealEstate
