A recent Zillow Digs survey indicates that four out of 10 homeowners who completed a do-it-yourself home project in the past three years wish they hadn’t. Even with all the upward pressure on rents and nominal if any apartment vacancy, it can still be difficult to take an older apartment with Class C tenant improvements, and renovate it to Class B or Class A tenant improvements in a feasible manner.
